CREATING THE ZEN57 BRAND FROM SCRATCH

ROLE

Creative Director

Sam Balooch, founder of ZEN57, developed a revolutionary neuro-movement system designed to train the nervous system. I was brought in to translate that system into a cohesive brand, creating the logo, visual identity, and website from the ground up.

The brand identity needed to reflect the system’s roots in yoga, meditation, Tai Chi, and other practices, while still communicating with a modern audience seeking innovation and authority in the space.

BRAND

Along with creating the logo, I built a system designed to support education, movement, and presence.

Key elements included:

  • A logo that feels rooted in tradition, and speaks to the mind-body connection.

  • A typeface that blends ancient calligraphic influences with contemporary design.

  • A muted, natural color palette that feels grounded and calm.

The system was intentionally minimal so the experience, not the visuals, remains central.

WEBSITE

I led the website design from a creative and structural standpoint, working closely with a developer to translate the brand system into a functional web experience.

My responsibilities included:

  • Infusing brand messaging that educates potential customers on the benefits of the ZEN57 system.

  • Designing a website that functions both as a conversion tool and as the home for the system itself.

  • Handoff of the web design to a developer for execution, providing direction as needed.
